We've put together an amazing team of runners to support WISHH at this year's Hull Run for All to help us make a difference to patients, loved ones, visitors and staff across Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital!

Story

I am taking part in The Hull Run for All 10k on June 11th 2023 to raise money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Hull Royal Infirmary.

My wife and I recently had our first baby who spent two weeks in hospital under the care of the NICU team, followed by six weeks of care from the NICU outreach team at home.

The standard of care giving to Hugo was remarkable and this is our way to give a little back.

Funds raised from this event will support the 'WISHH Space to Grow' appeal, which we will be launching shortly. The funds raised will go to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to create a sensory room, family 'Haven', siblings play area and a specialist learning facility within the unit.

About the charity

WISHH stands for Working Independently to Support Hull Hospitals. We fundraise to complement and enrich the services and facilities at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospitals, over and above what can be achieved by the NHS alone, for the benefit and comfort of patients and their loved ones.
