Story
My name is Hardeep Singh, and in November 2024, I will be trekking the Sahara Desert to raise money for P6.
I’ve always always been passionate about taking on new challenges, hiking and exercising, however this is my first time of taking on a challenge of this magnitude.
The Sahara trek entails covering 100km passing through forbidding landscape punctuated by peaks, gorges, dunes and oases. This challenge goes beyond the Jebel Saghro region, starting on the Maider El Kbir plateau, before ascending Jebel El Mrakib. Walking through palm gorges, the route joins the dry Rhris River and heads towards an oasis of tamarisk trees. The final days are spent trekking along the Tikertouachene River, before celebrating a successful end to the challenge in Ouarzazate.
Being a father to a nearly 2 year old, I am driven to inspire my daughter to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. I want to lead by example, and what better way than to take on such a big challenge!
My chosen charity, P6, run classes like Raag, Gurbani and Shastar Vidiya and aim to transform the way Gurmat Vidiya is taught to the next generation. Your donation will not only support an important cause, but also serve as a source of motivation and encouragement as I undertake this physically and mentally demanding trek.
I am reaching out to you, my friends, family, and community, to support me in this journey and make a positive impact alongside me. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will help me reach my fundraising goal and make a difference in the lives of others.
Thank you for your support and generosity. Together, we can conquer the Sahara Desert and make a meaningful difference in the world. Let's trek towards a brighter future together!
