Hi, my name is Lucy and in Sep 2021 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and it changed my life forever!

That very day I met with a diabetes educator, got a prescription and picked up my insulin, and gave my first injection that very night! It was an absolute whirlwind but despite the chaos, I am extremely privileged to be in the position I am.

To have immediate access to insulin, medical supplies, and medical professionals is something I am very grateful for. Access to diabetes care isn't possible for millions of people and that is something that massively needs to change.

Insulin is a life saving and necessary medication for diabetics but millions of people around the world can't access it. Healthcare shouldn't be a privilege or a luxury. It should be a given right no matter who you are or where you are in the world. Unfortunately, that isn't the case.
