Running for a cure and for community!
Please help me in raising money and spreading awareness for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association. Your donation will aid in the research for a cure and will also provide community resources for individuals living with CMT. The CMTA and the CMT Youth Movement empowers, embraces, and unifies people living with CMT.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease is a disease of the peripheral nerves that control muscles that can cause progressive loss of function and sensation in the hands, arms, legs, and feet. CMT is genetic and can be passed from one generation to the next or can be a spontaneous mutation. 3 million people worldwide are living with CMT.
I have been involved in the CMTA since 2017 as a Camp Counselor and Cabin Captain for Camp Footprint (a week long camp for youth living with CMT) and as Co-leader of the CMTA Youth Council. I am also part of Camp Leadership and have participated in the Ohio Walk4CMT and many outings and retreats.
The CMTA has welcomed me with open arms, has given me purpose, and has changed my life for the better. Thank you for your donation and for helping me be the change I wish to see in the world!
