Raising funds for the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation in aid of Inspire Chorley Youth Zone.
Help Chorley's young people by donating today- Chorley youth need your help…
Whilst the nation is struggling with the cost-of-living, Inspire are seeing an increase in the demand for their services by as much as 150%. With more and more families having to decide around heating or eating and more and more children wondering where their next meal is coming from, Inspire know that not being there for them is not an option. Each child’s visit to the building incurs a cost of £20 – however the charge to wach member is 50p on entry and £1 for a hot meal, so a maximum of £1.50 with that being covered if the child struggle to afford it.
At Inspire, we do more than just offer young people a safe place to hang out. We transform lives. We work to raise aspirations, enhance prospects, improve health and wellbeing, and support each young person to achieve their full potential. Open 7 days a week when schools are closed, we provide an inspirational environment for local young people and for some, a critical lifeline. Offering everything from climbing to cooking and football to enterprise, there really is something for everyone.
With 10,000+ members, Inspire Chorley Youth Zone provides a safe, amazing, multifunctional space with state-of-the-art equipment, specialist rooms and experienced youth workers, all here to create a safe, happier and healthier generation.
Our youth zone is a charity that fulfils an urgent need for youth support across the Chorley Borough, but with £1.6 million needed each year to continue with our amazing activities, health and wellbeing early intervention, inclusion for all and most importantly an opportunity to have fun - we need your help!
Tonys Story
As a grandad and great grandad Tony knows the benefits of inspiring and caring for children, which is why Inspire Chorley youth zone has become his chosen charity. He has completed many cycling challenges throughout his life (including last years 365 mile trek from Heskin to Inverness).
For his 90th year he has chosen to cycle over 400 miles from Heskin in Chorley to the Isle of Skye. Tony will be joined along the route by both family and friends who will cycle along side him for moral support. He hopes to complete the ride within 10 days with B&B stops along the way. Tony’s grand daughter Hannah will be updating and sharing his fundraising page with his progress.
