I'm going to be running the Westonbirt Arboretum Half Marathon on Sunday 23rd June to raise money for the charity CLL Support.

As some of you will know, my dad was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL) a few years ago. At the moment he's undergoing some treatment and some of the drugs that are helping him have only been discovered and used to treat CLL within recent years, thanks to the hard work and brilliant research of scientists. Through liaising with government bodies and NICE, CLL Support has played a key role in advocating for these drugs to be available to CLL patients.

On top of that, CLL Support has provided dad (and many others with CLL) ongoing support through setting up WhatsApp groups to link people going through similar experiences and putting on conferences for patients to learn about the condition and the latest developments in research.

It means the world to me that dad's able to have access to the support and the drugs that he needs. Dad inspires and supports me everyday and we've done many runs together over the years, so now it's my turn to give something back. I'll be forever grateful if you're able to donate anything at all (no matter how small) to make sure that CLL Support are able to continue doing their fantastic work.
