Story
On the 21st April, Ross and I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for The Haemophilia Society. A charity very close to our hearts.
In March 2023, our gorgeous son Gus was diagnosed with Haemophilia type B. Haemophilia B is a blood clotting disorder in which the body is lacking a specific protein to allow the blood to clot in the usual way. This disrupts the healing process and means that little bumps can be like big bumps! However, we are very fortunate that there are brilliant treatment options available. These new medicines act as a replacement for the missing protein and will allow Gus to carry on being the young loon that he is!
Ross and I are extremely grateful to The Haemophilia Society and Lochranza Ward at Edinburgh Hospital and really wanted to raise some money to help give something back.
Your generous support fuels the Haemophilia Society’s (THS) mission to empower individuals living with bleeding disorders. They help fund research such as Gene Therapy trials which ultimately provides a cure. With your help, THS can continue providing vital resources, from educational materials to community events, that make a tangible difference in their lives
Thanks for taking the time to read our page and thank you so much for any donations!
