Story

Hannah and Clyve are raising money for Myeloma UK (an incurable blood cancer that occurs in the bone marrow) by participating in the Edinburgh Marathon on the 28th May 2023.

Our incentive for this challenge is a very personal one as both Hannah and her dad Neil have Multiple Myeloma, although, apparently it is not usual for members of the same family to suffer from the same type of blood cancer! - I guess some may say we are unique!!

Myeloma is a treatable but unfortunately not curable cancer and once in remission it is a waiting game before a relapse occurs.  Although treatments can be very effective at controlling the disease there are currently only a few available to patients.

Hannah and Clyve want to raise money to support the research that goes into trying to find new treatments and even dare to dream that one day a cure could be found.

Hannah had a stem cell transplant in 2021 and we hope by doing this we can also inspire others to keep fighting and stay positive.  Dreams are still achievable!

Any donation would be very much appreciated..thank you for taking the time to visit our page.
