Story
Thank you so much for visiting this page dedicated to my fundraising journey in support of mental health charity, MIND.
What am I doing?
I am excited (scared) to be running the London Marathon on April 21st 2024 in the hopes of raising a target of £2000. This will be my first ever marathon and getting my wee legs to carry me 26.2 miles around London won't be easy, but what better cause than for an incredible charity such as MIND!
Why MIND?
A cause very close to my heart and something I am very passionate about - MIND is a charity that aims to make mental health an everyday priority. Whether it's a parent, sibling, best friend or co-worker, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem throughout our lives. MIND provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Recent initiatives from MIND include:
- Responding to growing, urgent needs among racialised communities and young people.
- Creating new services to respond to mental health consequences from the cost of living crisis.
- Urgently funding local MINDs to help refugees and host families to cope with trauma as a result of the conflict in Ukraine.
Responsiveness is one of MIND's guiding values, and it’s only possible because of your generosity.
I will be holding some events between now and April to help with my fundraising. I will also be taking part in some local runs as part of my training so you can expect to hear more from me on this fundraising journey. If you would like to support me in any way, whether that's donating £1, sharing words of advice or cheering me on along the way, I am incredibly grateful!
Thanks,
Hannah x
