Story
I have spent the past two years coming alongside survivors of domestic violence at the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center. The work can be intense, and at the same time I've never felt more joyful or inspired.
It would bring me immense pleasure to share with you a taste of the energy and immense compassion of the JGCC community. Would you think about joining me for our Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence?
This year's Walk will be held on Sunday, October 1st at Newburyport’s Waterfront Park (36 Merrimac St). It's a beautiful 3-mile walk, welcoming to all ages and abilities; dogs welcome, too!
This is one of the Center’s largest fundraisers of the year. Proceeds from this event allow us to provide free, safe, and confidential programs and services to 16 local communities.
Please consider participating in any of the following ways:
1 - Walk with us. Your physical presence and energy at the event would be such a treat! Registration is free and you can sign up to walk here: https://host.nxt.blackbaud.com/registration-form/?formId=685fcee9-5d6b-4741-a55c-c9e4a09ad47e&envId=p-M-n1d52rqUCw4myfb2x_4A
2 - Join us in spirit. If you live far away, think about taking a walk of your own and sending some love and light toward those suffering the impacts of domestic/intimate partner violence.
3 - Nudge me toward my fundraising goal. If a financial contribution feels joyful to you, that would be wonderful!
4 - Join my team! If you like, you can create your own fundraising page and join my team. Together we can make an even bigger impact and work towards a collective fundraising goal as a team.
5 - Harness social media. I rarely utilize social media, so if you are skilled in that area and want to spread the word in your circles, that would be a lovely gift.
Let's envision and build a future where all members of the human family learn to love each other with deep kindness and respect.
