In sha Allah myself and my husband will be taking part in the Walk For Children of War 2024 this Ramadan, raising funds to help the children of war rebuild their lives. As we witness on a daily basis, children around the world are struggling to live, not knowing when or if they will receive their next meal. Our aim, therefore, is to provide these children with food, water and other necessities.

FACTS

Gaza:

•   90% of Gazans are dependent on humanitarian assistance. (UNRWA)

• Over 2 million Gazans are food insecure. (UNRWA)

Syria:

• Over 12 million people are in need of humanitarian aid. (WFP)

• There are an estimated 2.8 million IDPs in north-west Syria. 80% of them are women and children.

Rohingya:

• Over half of Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh are children. (UN)

• Rohingya refugees in the camps of Cox’s Bazar are completely reliant on humanitarian aid for their survival. (UN)

Yemen:

• In Yemen, 80 per cent of the total population, including 12.4 million children are in need of humanitarian assistance. (UN)

• Half of Yemeni children under 5 years face severe acute malnutrition. (UN)
