Story
As a mother to 3 young children, I couldn't think about how heart wrenching and devastating it would be for one of my children to have cancer. So, having been given to opportunity to run the London Marathon and fundraise for 'Children with Cancer UK' is a real privilege.
Don't get me wrong this is a real challenge for me, I haven't ran more than a short distance in a good few years. I have already completed a couch to 5k, fought off Covid, learned that I get a lot of aches and pains now and I have the added bonus of my partner being away during most of my training.
But what I have is fire, to show my children and myself that I can achieve this goal. I have not set myself a time, just to reach the finish line after training over the winter will be a real achievement for me.
I am doing this challenge as a wider group, through my work at SQEP and we are also tracking how far our workouts take us, in the hope to complete a revolution around the world.
It would mean to the world if you could support me in my fundraising campaign.
I am also going to be using my crafting skills to make items and selling them for the fundraiser, I will share any links on here of those too.
