Story
On Sunday the 8th of September 2024, I will run the Great North Run in aid of BEAT, the UK’s eating disorder charity.
Following my diagnosis of an eating disorder back in 2020, I have experienced first-hand just how crucial Beat’s work is, not only in helping those struggling with mental illness but also in the support they provide to friends and families. Roughly 1.25 million people in the UK have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, affecting people of all ages and backgrounds, which just shows that Beat’s work is in more demand now than ever before.
I am undertaking this challenge to give back to Beat, and to raise awareness for this incredible charity in any small way that I can.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, any donation no matter how big or small would be hugely appreciated.
