Story
This is a cause very close to our hearts. We have had 5 losses in total, 2 very early (5 weeks), and 3 (one twins) at just before 12 weeks. One of my profound memories throughout this experience were the words of an amazing nurse in EPU. She said "I wish it was spoken about more, so many women feel they are alone, when the sad fact is they are not, no-one should feel they have to go through this alone" I silently vowed that day that I would speak up. So whether it is one miscarriage or secondary infertility, no-one should ever feel alone. If you can spare a couple of ££ I would really appreciate it, it goes towards providing research and valuable resources for women in their time of need. Many thanks and here is to 500,000 steps.
From the MA.
--The M.A believes that every pregnancy loss matters, and they've asked their supporters to join their January 2024 Step Up campaign by pledging to take 250,000 (500,000 in my case) steps in January, two steps for each of the 250,000 babies estimated to be lost to miscarriage, molar, and ectopic pregnancy each year.
As part of Team M.A., I'm hoping to raise awareness and start conversations about the issues surrounding pregnancy loss, signpost people to the services the M.A offer, and raise funds to ensure that they can continue to be there for those that need them most.
Thank you for helping them continue to be there for those who need them, this month and for the future.
