This is the fundraising page for Pete & Hannah who are doing a day of Dragon Boat Racing on 2nd September.

We are doing this to raise funds for The British Heart Foundation and inspired by our good friend Kerrie who, thanks in part to the work The BHF do, recently survived a life threatening battle with infective endocarditis, a rare and potentially fatal infection of the inner lining of the heart.

Our warrior with the "heart of gold" will be in the boat with us on the day, beating the drum for us rowers & this is truly a charity very close to us both.

We are the 'Hearts of Gold', a newly set up fundraising group in West Kent who are proudly raising money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Heart attacks that strike without warning, strokes that shatter futures, newborn babies born with broken hearts. These are just some of the cruelties of cardiovascular disease. And the brutal reality is, there is so much more for science to discover before we can beat the world’s biggest killers.

That’s why the British Heart Foundation exists. Funding research is how we change the game. And we all have a role to play. The tools we have at our disposal today - from heart transplants and pacemakers to stents and portable defibrillators - are all down to research. Research made possible by people like you.

The Hearts of Gold team have so many exciting plans for 2023 and beyond and we can't thank you enough for your incredible support.
