Thank you all for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, it means so much to me to be able to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

I have recently been diagnosed with grade 3, stage 2 Breast and Lymph Node Cancer.

1 in 2 of us will get Cancer in our lifetime and I am thankful that I have taken this disease away from someone else.

I have asked to be enrolled in a clinical trial to help others, which is the CANDO-3 study. Which reviews my progress through treatment vs other patients to understand the doses of the Chemo that are given to everyone no matter their height and weight. The study tracks the amount of Chemo given and how it is impacted by different amounts of blood, muscle and fatty issue, which is different in everyone of us in our bodies and which can all effect the behaviour of the drugs.

I also took the decision to cut my long hair off and donate it to the "Little Princess Trust" who make real hair wigs for children who have Cancer and have lost their hair, I wanted this disease to have a purpose.

I donated 6, 15 inches long pieces of my hair. I am now rocking head scarfs and get compliments on what a great shaped head I have...who would have thought?

So 1 Chemo treatment down, 6 more to go then surgery and possible other therapies, WOW who knew there were so many treatments?
