Back in March of this year, we sadly lost a very special someone in our lives, my Godfather, Chris Pickard.

As we grappled with the devastating thought of a world without Chris in it, the comforting sanctuary that is Hospice Isle of Man​, made for us all, including Chris, a calming space to share our final moments.

I was nothing short of blown away by the compassion and dedication of the staff and the peaceful atmosphere of the building. Combined, they made the worst-conceived situation a little bit more bearable. Knowing that Chris received the best possible palliative care will always be a comfort.

So, fuelled by profound gratitude, I've made a commitment to honour the memory of my Godfather, support his wife, Karen, and their three boys, Matthew, Aedan, and Ben, and give back to this extraordinarily invaluable cause. On 15th October 2023, I'll be running the Bath Half Marathon. Through this, I hope to raise both awareness and much-needed funds for Hospice Isle of Man.
