H & El’s Ultra Big Mistake

Ultra X Spring Trail Series 2024 · 13 April 2024 ·
In 2014, H’s wonderful Dad Tony was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer (Glioblastoma multiforme - big oof).
By late 2015, he was in need of constant care placing great strain on the family. The wonderful carers at St. Wilfrid’s Hospice came to the family home and provided support that meant the Palmers could get some sleep and respite. At the time, their kindness and compassion meant the world.
Sadly, Tony died in November ‘15 but the help St. Wilfrid’s staff gave the family during that time was incredible. So, the two of us are running… really bloody far… in the hope we can raise some money for these angels so other families in need of support can get it.
So we are both running in the ‘Ultra-X Spring Trail Series’ on 13th April - 2 weeks before we get married:
-> H will be running 50km > twice as far as she has ever run before (farthest to date: 21.1km)…
-> El will be running 75km nearly twice as far as ever before (farthest to date: 42.2km)…
-> All in one day…
-> In the Surrey hills…
Bearing ALL the above in mind, any donations or help would be greatly appreciated not only by St Wilfrid’s but by the Palmers and us!
(Donations of Haribo, trail mix, blister plasters, Kendal Mint cake, Vaseline and any other calorie dense food will also be gratefully accepted - if accompanied with cash)
