Story
Every year here at F H Halliday, we hold an evening during the Christmas period for families to come together and remember loved ones which they have lost. There will be a hog roast and festive drinks to enjoy whilst be able to listen to a special visit by the famous Pill Owls who will be singing a few Carols. Each year we try and bring a bit of comfort to families who sometimes find Christmas to be a challenging time of the year.
Not only do we do this to bring families a bit of comfort and joy over the Christmas period, we also try and raise money for various charities over the years. This years chosen charity is the Great Western Air Ambulance, a cause which is close to many of our hearts.
The Great Western Air Ambulance provide emergency care across the southwest to people in a critical state, who require their specialist skills team at the scene of the accident or medical incident. Though they are part of the regional 999 response service and work closely with NHS hospitals, they are a charity entirely funded by local people.
