Fundraiser for The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust

Nick n is raising money for The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust

Haircut · 4 April 2025

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust inspires young people aged 8-24 to believe in a brighter future living through and beyond cancer. For many young people simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. So, when treatment ends the Trust’s work begins.

Story

Hi. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My older brother had a rare cancer when he was little. At one of his follow up appointments a nurse suggested he might benefit from going on an Ellen McArthur sailing trip. He did, and it changed so much for him. It was the first time he'd really spoken about, or too, anyone with childhood cancer, and even someone with his own rare cancer.

For sometime I've been contemplating cutting off my hair (all 3 feet of curls) and have decided now's the time to do it! My hair is long enough to donate to the Little Princesses Trust (littleprincesses.org.uk) and I would like to fundraise for the Ellen McArthur Cancer Trust as they made such a difference to my brother.

Hopefully we can raise enough to send one person on their first trip with the charity. This costs £671.

Please help me raise this for a brilliant life-changing charity.

A BIG THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME DO THIS.

And a special thanks for the staff at school for supporting me and mum for sorting this page.

PS Should you want to donate to Little Princesses too it costs £700 to make a wig for a child. Donations can be sent through their website littleprincesses.org.uk. Thank you
