In 2022, Ram's world turned upside down. Diagnosed with heart failure, even short walks became a struggle, leaving him breathless and his life on hold. The inability to work as a doctor and see patients, a passion turned to frustration. Feeling helpless, a ray of hope arrived: a referral to the amazing heart failure team at the Wolverhampton Cardiovascular and Aftercare Support Group (WCASG).

The first visit was daunting, filled with nervousness. But the team's kindness and expert guidance made a difference. He began exercise rehab alongside other patients, young and old. Sharing stories fostered a sense of community, and he realized he wasn’t alone. With WCASG's support and unwavering encouragement from family and friends, Ram is reclaiming his life.

But this story doesn't end there! Determined to push forward, Ram along with Subhash, Raja, Ajay, Teerath, Bhupendra, Prabhu and Smita are taking on a huge challenge: a 100-mile cycling ride! For most of them, this is their second year participating, a testament to their incredible spirit and the power of support.
