We support Merseyside blood cancer patients to improve treatment and research

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and supporting us in completing the national 3 peak challenge on the 15th of July 2023. We are 5 Nurses working at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre within the haemato-oncology department: Amy Wilson; Emma Lusby; Rachel Hollewell; Luke Dowey and Molly Kohl. We will be climbing the three highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon... one after the other on the same day within 24 hours. This means we will be operating on zero sleep and having to complete Snowdon at night time with head torches.

The Bloom Appeal is a charity that sits close to all of our hearts. They massively contribute towards improving the well-being of patients across Merseyside with a blood cancer diagnosis. Bloom are an exceptionally selfless charity and always prioritise the best interests of the patients, their support has transformed the treatment journeys of many of our patients in recent years.

The Bloom Appeal offer grants to patients who are facing financial hardship as a result of the many challenges their diagnosis brings, whether this be helping them buy warm clothes through the winter, or a new wig to help them feel more themselves. They contribute towards funding staff training and higher education modules, equipment such as fans and heaters- the little things that add up to transform their journey.

Please help us give back to The Bloom Appeal and support patients with a blood cancer diagnosis across Merseyside.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated- thank you for your support xxx
