Help Us Raise Funds for Disability Equipment for Calderdale and Huddersfield Children's Ward
2 years after Kilimanjaro, its time to dig the walking boots back out!
Myself, Colin Wynne and Ed Jerrison are embarking on a special challenge: walking 84 miles across Hadrian's Wall, coast to coast, to raise vital funds for disability equipment for Calderdale and Huddersfield Children's Ward. This journey is personal for us because of my son, Oscar, who has been a patient in the Children's Ward many times over the years. His experience with the ward has been one of exceptional care, and it’s their unwavering support that has kept him and our family smiling, even during the toughest of times.
Oscar is in a wheelchair, and the care he has received has made a huge difference to both his life and our family’s. The Children's Ward team goes above and beyond to provide not just excellent medical care, but also emotional support, helping children like Oscar navigate the challenges they face with kindness, compassion, and expertise.
Why We Need Your Help
Calderdale and Huddersfield Children's Ward plays a vital role in the care of children with disabilities. However, they are in need of additional disability equipment to help more children like Oscar. Your generous donations will go directly towards purchasing essential equipment that can make a world of difference for children facing mobility and other challenges.
We’re walking 84 miles along Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for this important cause. It’s not going to be easy, but we’re committed to completing the journey in honour of Oscar and all the other children who depend on the support and care of this incredible ward.
Your generosity will not only help provide equipment but will also send a powerful message of support to the children and families who rely on the Children's Ward. We truly believe that together, we can make a huge difference.
Thank you for helping us make Oscar's journey, and the journeys of many other children, just a little bit easier..
