Story
My Sister Alison would have turned 30 on Christmas Day this year.
She struggled with her mental health for most of her teens and early 20s until she passed away in the Autumn of 2019.
Thankfully she never had to stay in hospital over Christmas but many many children and young people do, often far from home and family.
Since 2016 Christmas for CAMHS have provided special Christmas gifts and goodies for children and young people who are
inpatients in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) wards across the UK over the festive period.
These young people will be experiencing one of the most challenging times in their lives, and they absolutely deserve to feel special, remembered and included during the holiday season. With your help, we're hoping to give a gift to every single young person who needs a gift who is in inpatient mental health care at Christmas - as well as a special gift, activities, homemade cards, sensory toys and decorations for every ward too.
