Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page!

Gwen & Kate at Right Up My Podcast are FACING THE FLAMES! We're doing an actual real life firewalk to raise funds for our fave Bristol-based charity, Temwa.

Temwa works with remote communities in northern Malawi, empowering them with the skills, tools, and knowledge to create lasting change through forestry and climate action, sustainable agriculture, life-saving healthcare, and education programs.

We're a bit nervous and have left this all a bit last minute to raise money, but we'd love it if you could support us. 🙏🏼 We'll also be recording our experience on the day and reporting back in Season 9 on how fire-walking can make you (hopefully) feel good!

If you want to cheer us on we'll be at:

Tobacco Factory, Bristol

6.30 - 9.30pm Tues 18th March

Thank you in advance!

More about Temwa

Temwa is a Bristol based charity whose mission is to develop self-sufficient communities in hard-to-reach areas of northern Malawi – itself the third poorest country in the world. Our aim is to provide an infrastructure to support families in this region facing financial and humanitarian hardship. We accomplish this by implementing programmes in health, education, agriculture and forestry. All of our projects are community-driven meaning that local communities are actively involved in the design and implementation of the projects. We deliver our programmes by our in-country Temwa team, all of them nationals with many from the local area, as such they have a deep local and operational knowledge of the needs of Nkhata Bay North.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
