My Dads diagnosis of Cancer in his mouth and sinus was somewhat of a whirlwind in February 2023. The Head and Neck team at the BRI were exceptional and went the extra mile many times throughout the process.

My Dad, Guy, is a keen runner and did the Bristol half in 2022 however since his diagnosis has not been able to run. It seemed appropriate to support the wonderful Head & Neck team at the same time as Dad working his way back to his running ways!

Dad won’t be running alone - Guy’s Recovery Run has become a team of friends, colleagues and family all running the half marathon or 10k!

We are aiming to raise £5000 as a group to help fund a microvascular training station, for trainees to develop their skills in the complex surgery that saved my Dad in February 2023.
