Story
I have been doing active challenges for the last 11 years. They have all involved training and many (many!) miles of running, cycling and swimming.
I have had the pleasure (and pain!) of participating in Ironman events, cycling tours, marathons, ultra marathons, all of which have been a physical and at times a mental challenge, but all enjoyable.
However… jumping out a perfectly good aircraft, strapped to another human and free falling for 60 seconds requires no training at all… no new toys, no logistics, no special diet, no planning! It all seemed very simple when I said yes a few months ago! Now it is starting to feel a bit real and I’m not sure it’s such a good idea?!!! This is way out of my comfort zone and beyond anything I can prepare or train for.
Therefore, to ensure that I do it, I thought that raising money for Cornwall Mind might be a worthy cause.
If you feel you can spare a few quid to ensure I throw myself out of a plane at 15,000ft and plummet to the ground on the 11th October that would be kind.
I can then tell you all how brave I am on the 12th as I turn 50!
