I’m running the London Marathon to support hospice care

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
On 27th April 2025 I'm running the London Marathon.
Training for a marathon isn't easy! I’ve run over 200 miles since I started training on those dark and cold evenings at the beginning of January. But I hope to raise as much money as I can for hospice UK to ensure everyone has access to hospice care who needs it.
Hospice care eases the pain of death and dying, letting people focus on living, right until the end. Too many miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, now and forever.
As the national champion for hospices, Hopsice UK supports over 200 hospices across the UK, helping them deliver the best, most personalised care to 300,000 people each year. But hospices are underfunded and under immense pressure.
Our mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year and died several months later. She was very fortunate to be able to access hospice care at the end of her life. It was a huge comfort to known that she did not suffer and had dignity to the very end.
