The Ridgway school is a special needs school in Farnham, Surrey supporting the needs of children aged 2-19 with severe and profound multiple learning difficulties, additional and complex needs.

The school playground is in dire need of updating - it is a small, tight tarmacked space. Some parts are made of wood which is starting to rot. The plan is to completely revamp the whole area and ensuring that there is a space for every pupil in the school.

The school's plans are ambitious and they need to raise £475,000. They are already well over half way to are target and need to raise the balance by summer 2024 for the works to be completed next year.

To that end, I am taking part in Chase the Sun, which is a 205 mile bike ride starting at sunrise from the Isle of Sheppey with the aim of reaching the finish at Weston-Super-Mare before the sun sets.
