Story

Hi guys,

I'm Guthrie or "Guth."

For those that don't know me, I am a relatively fit, healthy 19 year-old student who has the privilege to go to university, excercise daily, study and ultimately, live a healthy life.

In the UK, each year, around 2,500 young people aged 13-24 are diagnosed with cancer,

A staggering, heartbreaking reality.

Every single one of them will need specialized nursing care and live healthy lifestyles, which alot of us, including me, take for granted. Currently, Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing this essential care ensuring these young people have a chance of a better future.

Because of this, next year, along with other students from Glasgow Uni, I am committed to running in the Athens Marathon (2025), to help raise funds for this cause ensuring no young person faces cancer alone.

I know it’s quite a big goal to tackle, but with your help, we can make a big, important difference. It is an amazing, relevant cause, and over the next year I’ll be doing multiple fundraising activities to help hit the target 1290 GBP.

Thanks and have a good day.
