Story

On the 23rd September 2024, I'll be taking part in an epic Walk the Big One Challenge, all in aid of Headway Blackpool Wyre & Fylde. I want to help raise much needed funds for this charity that supports people living with a brain injury and their carers and families.

About the charity

Brain injury can challenge every aspect of your life – walking, talking, thinking and feeling and the losses can be severe and permanent. It can mean losing both the life you once lived and the person you once were. We’re a charity in Blackpool Wyre and Fylde who aims to provide information, support and social activities for people suffering from acquired brain injuries. We also aim to support carers, family and friends. Perhaps most importantly, we offer the chance to share experiences knowing that the group members understand some of the problems and difficulties that acquired brain injury brings.
