Story

We are taking on the Purple Gunge Challenge to raise funds and awareness for the 10,000+ young people in the UK who have arthritis.

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a type of inflammatory arthritis that affects the joints and organs and can significantly impact a young person's mobility, sometimes leaving them reliant on a wheelchair.

There is no cure, but we can help!

We have persuaded our 2nd Hawkwell Scout Leaders to take part in our Purple Gunge Challenge on the 22ND MAY 2025!

And it's up to you to decide who is going to get GUNGED!!

Please vote for TROG, WILMA, KAA, AKELA OR OAK by donating for them below. You can choose to vote anonymously.

£5 will provide 3 booklets to help children learn about the disease and give practical advice

£10 will provide a 30-minute helpline call to give support at a time of crisis

£30 will enable a one-hour facilitated meeting for a family with a recent diagnosis

Please give whatever you can today for JIA & choose who will be GUNGED on 22ND MAY 2025!
