We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

In October 2023, Bill Gibson our founder & chairman suffered a stroke, leaving his family, friends & Gibson Technology colleagues worried for his future. But now 10 months on he’s recovering well at home; having physically progressed but still has some long term challenges ahead. Never knowing the full extent of how a stroke can change a life in an instance, we are fundraising in Bill’s honour doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in September. Thank you for your support for Bill in his recovery and the GT team taking on the challenge!

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. We will start from 6am on Saturday 14th September hopefully finishing in the pub by 6pm!

Stroke Association: When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
