Kincardineshire Freemasons Lairig Ghru Hike · 27 July 2024

Stonehaven Lifeboat Station Appeal
Campaign by RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RCN Eng/Wal 209603,SC037736,ROI20003326,IOM1308,Jer14)
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.

Story

After successfully strolling up Ben Nevis we have decided this years charity challenge will be a bit closer to home...

The Lairig Ghru is one of the greatest, and most certainly the best known high mountain-pass in Scotland. It climbs to an altitude of 835 metres and crosses through the central Cairngorms, one of the wildest areas in the country.

A small but hardy group of intrepid Kincardineshire Freemasons will have a very early start on Saturday 27th July, as the 19 mile trek will take the whole day to complete.

All to raise funds to support the 2024 Kincardineshire Provincial Charities, which are the Stonehaven RNLI and 5 foodbanks within the province.

Please support their endeavour as best you can.

Your local Stonehaven lifeboat volunteers need your support to fund a new RNLI lifeboat station so they can move from the temporary portacabin and boatshed they have been launching from for the past 10 years.

Your kind support will help provide more efficient and practical facilities that will help your volunteers train properly as a team, enhance crew and casualty wellbeing, and bring them one step closer to saving every one. It’s a unique opportunity for you to make a real lifesaving difference in your community.
