Story
Hi! I'm running the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for the UK Sepsis Trust.
My nephew, Mason, was diagnosed with sepsis when he was only a few days old. Luckily he kicked sepsis' butt, has lived to tell the tale and is now a happy, healthy delight of a baby boy, many others are not so lucky.
Mason's brush with sepsis caused a lot of heartache for me and my family, let alone the pain and procedures he had to go through in order to recover (more than anybody should endure in a lifetime, let alone a baby boy), so when the opportunity to raise money for the UK Sepsis Trust came up, I jumped at the chance. Not just for Mason, but for the countless others affected by Sepsis.
I appreciate that mere existence is expensive these days, so any spare change is greatly appreciated; Thank you in advance, and see you on 7th April for race day!

Fundraising is at the heart of our fight against sepsis.
It raises awareness, and sparks the question: What is sepsis? In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths & unnecessary suffering through knowledge & awareness of the symptoms.
It also funds our vital support work, Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing our Support Group network. We also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS.
