Story
As many of you know I have been raising money for various charities for years and after 10 years of trying its time for me to take on London!
I am raising much needed funds for a cause very close to my heart. My daughter Lucie has epilepsy that affects every area of our life. I have lost count of the amount of things Lucie has missed out on because of her condition, due to having daily seizures. Many of my friends and family have experienced these on a personal level and know that she always has a smile on her face and knows exactly what to do when she’s suffering.
With this in mind, me suffering through months of training and 26miles of running is the least I can do to show my support to everyone with Epilepsy. There are more than half a million people with Epilepsy in the UK (around 1 in every 100 people) a condition that can often be hard to come to terms with due to its wide reaching affects.
The Epilepsy Society is the UK’s only charity transforming the lives of people with epilepsy through world-leading research, advocacy and care. They provide support, care and fund cutting edge research. - they are the voice for those with Epilepsy.
