I'm part of a team taking on Race the Sun Lake District Keswick for children's charity Action Medical Research.

In September, I will be setting off at sunrise to complete a 40 mile cycle, 10.5 mile hiketo the summit of Skiddaw (altitude 931m) and a 2 mile row around a challenging course in a race against the sun. I hope to complete the course before sunset.

I know first hand the challenges that families experience raising disabled children. I hope to raise some money for this charity which will allow them to carry out vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young adults.
