Story
Hello generous gorgeous people,
On Sunday the 27th April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon to fundraise for the incredible charity, Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
Having taken up running "properly" during covid, I've come to absolutely love it, not least for the massive mental health benefits I gained from the sport. I am now finally dipping my toes into the big bad world of the Marathon and I'm going to need your help!
Not only am I lucky enough to be fulfilling a dream of running the London Marathon, I have been given the chance to fundraise for an amazing charity at the same time.
The RNIB do incredible work to support people with sight loss. It has been incredibly inspiring and motivating for my training to hear how the RNIB empowers thousands of individuals to lead fuller, more independent lives—whether that’s through providing reading materials in accessible formats, offering specialist advice, or advocating for change.
Every single penny you donate goes directly towards helping blind and partially sighted people across the UK. Just £5 could allow a blind or partially sighted person to connect with others and share their experiences during a group Talk and Support session.
My fundraising aim of £2,000 could allow 100 caregivers to get advice from a Sight Loss Adviser on supporting their visually impaired child in school. Meaning that more children get the invaluable education they deserve.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, the money you donate really goes a long way to improving peoples lives and to reminding me the pain round the 42.2km that London has to offer is all for such an amazing cause.
Cheers,
Greg
