Staff members from Grant Associates will be participating in the Charity Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 24th September in and around The Boathouse in Bath. Each team will have the chance to race three times prior to the semi-finals and finals. It will be a tough day of racing and we are sure lots of fun will be had or at least to be watched!

Our team of 11 will be taking part in this fun-filled, adrenaline-pumping, water sports activity all in aid of charity.

Our Chosen Charity

The charity we are sponsoring is Rainforest Concern and we are currently looking to raise at least £1,000.

Who is Rainforest Concern?

Rainforest Concern is a British charity protecting rainforests and other crucial natural habitats, working with communities and organisations across eight countries.

With your sponsor, you will be helping to raise support for Rainforest Concern’s wildlife and habitat conservation projects in Latin America, India and Romania. Projects include creating ecological corridors for spectacled bears and rare eagles at our 6,000-acre Neblina Cloud Forest Reserve in Ecuador; protecting endangered leatherback turtles and injured jaguars in Costa Rica, and supporting local women to grow thousands of rare endemic plant species to rewild the Western Ghats in India.

The UN recently reached a historic global agreement to protect and conserve at least 30% of the world’s land and oceans by 2030, so every donation towards their work is vitally important, especially as a million species of animals and plants are currently threatened with extinction.

We have until Friday 22nd September to receive donations so please dig deep as our team prepares for a great day of racing!

Thank you!
