Story

When faced with life shortening illness, death and bereavement, the people of the Highlands deserve the best possible care and support. The ambition of the Highland Hospice, is to ensure they receive this...and Grant and Halde want to help!🙏

Hospice care focuses on the individual and puts the needs of them and their families at the centre of decision-making. By managing their pain and other physical symptoms, the hospice help make time and space for reflection, for gaining perspective and for achieving a measure of calm. Crucially, the hospice team also offers advice with the emotional, social and spiritual issues that may arise and works with patients, families and carers, at a time of transition to help them enjoy, value and commemorate life.❤️

The vision of the Highland Hospice is for EVERYONE in the Highlands to have access to world leading care and support towards the end of life and in bereavement.🥹

The mission of the Highland Hospice involves working together with all organisations and communities who share that vision, use resources to help the people of the Highlands to live and die well and support families and carers to navigate the experience of death and dying.🥀

And all whilst maintaining the following values;

- Facilitating patient choice and independence is key to delivering good care. ✔️

- Providing sanctuary, respect and dignity is at the heart of our philosophy of care. ✔️

- Supporting family members and carers is integral to our model of care both during illness and after death. ✔️

All Highland Hospice services are offered free of charge to all those in the Highlands who need them. This incredible organisation is an independent local charity reliant on the community for the majority of funding. And THAT is where Grant and Halde come in...taking part in Ness Factor 2024!!!🎤

The lads want to help raise funds for this amazing and deserving charity, and to do that they are doing what they do best...making an ARSE of themselves!!🍑

They will be working twice weekly with professional singing coaches to perfect their voices for the live final where they will sing in front of a panel of judges and an audience of over 350 guests...earplugs not supplied!!👂

The winner, dare they even dream, is chosen from a combination of judges scoring, audience votes and individual fundraising totals. All funds raised will go towards their scoring, however more importantly to this lifeline local charity so close to the hearts of communities throughout the Highlands.⛰️

Whether you can donate £5 to £50 every penny will help make a difference.🌟

Grant and Halde will be holding cool events throughout the year leading up to the big event in October, however this page will always be open for small or big donations too!💰💰💰

🌟THE STAGE IS THERE'S...GOOD LUCK BOYS!!!🌟
