Cycling to Whitchurch

Myself and a friend, Den Leonard, will be "Cycling to Whitchurch" this June. All the Whitchurch's in the UK. 800miles of cycling in 11 days!

Just over 2 years ago my Grandmother, Alice Darlington sadly passed away after a battle with MND. We remember Alice for being so loving, kind-hearted and that person you could go to with any problem. She was the matriarch of our family and she is dearly, dearly missed.

Locals will also remember Alice for her time served as a lollipop lady and caretaker at the Whitchurch Infant school. She was very proud to provide a service for the community. She would help anyone in need.

Sadly over three years ago, Alice found herself in need after a diagnosis of Bulbar Onset, MND. The MND association, with the support of the Severn Hospice, provided Alice with the relevant care and support in order to make her as comfortable as possible. They were also able to provide support for our family’s physical and emotional wellbeing. My family and I are so grateful for the MND association and I now have the opportunity to repay that gratitude by raising money for them.

MND kills 1/3 people within a year of diagnosis. There's no cure. It's taking the lives of fit and healthy loved ones. So please if you can donate, however little, it could make a huge difference to people's lives in years to come.
