Story
What's my story?
Well first thing is first, I decided to do this triathlon as a way to push myself outside of my comfort zone and push my body in a way that its never been pushed before. Sometimes as a man there is a stigma with men's mental health, we are told to man up and get on with things no matter what the circumstance is. Just because someone might seem ok on the outside it doesn't mean that they are. All it takes is a question from anyone, how's things? or how are you doing? that might be all it takes for someone to feel like they can talk to you. Be that person that is there for your friends, colleagues, neighbours, family. My goal is for everyone to feel like they have someone to talk to if they need to, be that person that just listens!
If you are reading this and you feel like you need to talk to someone about anything, come and grab me or if you feel like you need privacy just let me know and we can find that!
My last point is something I've been told from a very young age "treat other people the same way as you would like to be treated" this small phrase will go along way.
