Story
Grange Soroptimists are involved with the United Nations Orange the World campaign.
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women is marked every year around the world on 25th November, and is followed by 16 days of activism; a campaign to end gender-based violence. Organisations all over the world take part, by lighting buildings up orange in an act of solidarity.
Grange Soroptimists are lighting up Cartmel Priory, the Hoad in Ulverston and Barrow Town Hall clock to raise awareness and to fundraise for Women’s Aid. We plan to tie lots of Orange Ribbons on the gates of Cartmel Priory from Nov 25th until Dec 10th and if you would like us to tie a ribbon on for you please donate and tell us. Please give generously. Thank you.
