Story
From 22nd to the 29th May 2024 I will be walking 150 miles through Kent and Sussex to raise awareness for teenage mental health and suicide prevention, in memory of my darling daughter Libby, who tragically took her own life in January 2019. Libby was a beautiful, vibrant girl, passionate about gymnastics, trampolining, dance, and art, who left an indelible mark on all who knew her. By shining a light on these critical issues, I hope to prevent other families from experiencing similar heartbreak.
The primary objective of the walk is to raise awareness of teenage mental health issues and support the vital work of the PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide charity and the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, and it has the support of the Charity for Civil Servants.
I will be joined along the way by Libby’s brothers, Charlie and Will, and family and friends as we visit important locations associated with her life, including Gravesend, Tunbridge Wells, Crowborough, Eastbourne, Brighton, Haywards Heath, and High Hurstwood.
I hope that you can support us by donating to one of the three charities or simply talking about the issues to raise awareness and support for teenage mental health and suicide prevention. Every step taken and every donation received will make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
