Story
I am taking part in the Brain Tumour Research Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2024 on Sunday 12th May.
Alot of people know the reasons for which I'm raising money again for this charity. I ran this marathon last year as my first every marathon and loved it and raised alot of money along the way on this journey. I lost one of my best friend's to this and he put up an amazing fight for several years but unfortunately passed away January 12th 2022. The loss of Rory still affects me daily and running keeps me distracted and focused on somthing positive, I'm not shy in saying I smashed this marathon last year but somewhat disheartened that I just went over the 4 hour hour mark. This year I will be aiming for a sub 4, this marathon isn't like many others and is certainly far from flat which I found out the hard way! Any donations as big or small as you can manage will be much appreciated. Big loves Graham ❤️
One in three people know someone affected by a brain tumour and brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this!
Brain Tumour Research are the only national charity in the UK focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours through campaigning to increase the national investment in brain tumour research to £35 million per year, while fundraising to create a network of seven sustainable Brain Tumour Research Centres of Excellence across the UK.
