Story
Team Domenica supports young adults with additional needs to make the transition from education to employment. This is no mean feat, and my family has benefited enormously. My daughter first worked in their training cafés developing her employability skills, and then on to work experience with partner employers. After this, she joined Team Domenica's Supported Internship program which led to her being offered paid work at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel.
Team Domenica has changed my daughter’s future and I want to raise money to enable Team Domenica to give these same opportunities to other young people.
So I’m cycling the coast of Spain, from Tarifa on the very southern tip to Bilbao in the north riding for 30 days over 5 weeks.
Please help by sponsoring me:
✅ If you could donate only £12 this would pay for a young person to have a one-to-one mentoring session, helping them decide how their future will look.
✅ If you donate £24 this pays for a young person to have a job coach support them into work. My daughter's job coach helped her enormously to build the skills she needed to get into paid work.
✅ If you donate £45 this pays for a young person to have an enrichment session, doing something new which builds their resilience and increases their confidence. Many young people with additional needs don't get these opportunities unless an organization like Team Domenica supports them.
But however much you can give it will change the future of a young person who might not have always got the same opportunities as everyone else. 🙏 😃
If you would like to follow my ride I'll be posting every day at https://bit.ly/cyclingtothetop the up-hills the down-hills, the sights, and of course the food along the way.
