Doctors and scientists at the Euan MacDonald Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research undertake vital research into motor neuron disease (MND); a condition that causes muscle weakness and paralysis, difficulty speaking, swallowing and breathing.

Story

I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to support the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) charity and the Euan MacDonald Centre for MND research. This cause is personal to me as my uncle sadly passed away from MND. As someone who works at the Edinburgh Brain Bank, which deals with MND cases, I am deeply committed to this cause. By raising funds, I hope to contribute to vital research and support for those affected by this devastating condition, and to honor my uncle’s memory.
