During the month of May, to honour the founder of Mikeysline, Ron Williamson, who sadly passed away in December last year, myself and others in the Mikeysline team will be doing a virtual 'walk' the 589.60 miles from the Hive, Academy Street in Inverness to Ron's house in Southampton. As a team, we will walk, cycle etc the 589.60miles in the local area of Inverness as part of the Miles for Mikeysline challenge.

At Mikeysline, our ultimate aim is suicide prevention. We were established in 2015 following the suicides of two close friends within days of each other, Martin Shaw and Michael 'Mikey' Williamson and Martin Shaw, both aged 23.Our textline service was set up to provide an anonymous, safe, confidential way to access peer support, a listening ear from someone who understands what that person may be feeling, having their own lived experience of mental health issues.
