Fundraising makes a huge impact to charities and can help VOCAL to reach more unpaid carers who may not recognise themselves as a carer yet.

I have taken on a number of challenges including the Edinburgh Men’s 10k last October and have signed up to do a half marathon in Glasgow in February and the Copenhagen Marathon in May for VOCAL.

This year I’m focusing on raising money for VOCAL’s holiday cottage Hawthorn Brae, which will help provide more free breaks for carers. Being part of the Grants team at VOCAL, I see the difference that respite gives to carers and the impact we make as a charity.
