Story
Brockwell Swimmers will be raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute with three relay teams attempting to cross the Channel.
We have booked the Connemara, skippered by Kevin Sherman, for the neap tide Sunday 14th July, Wednesday 17th July and Friday 2nd August. These are prime slots to swim but if the weather does misbehave the swim may be delayed until later in the year. The 20.5 nautical mile crossing will be swum one hour at a time by each member; e.g. one hour swim then four hours rest. Last year’s successful swim took just over 14 hours.
On Saturday 3rd August Brockwell Swimmers will attempt to swim a matching distance of 676 lengths of the Lido. More details are on our website www.brockwellswimmers.com.
I am swimming for JT, so that we sail these stormy seas together. By raising money for the RNLI, we can all continue to enjoy being safe at sea.
